Yeti Coolers, on the other hand, has a rock-solid reputation. Its ice life is among the best in the industry and its products are designed to last a lifetime. Ozark Trail, despite their best intentions, doesn’t quite live up to the level of ice retention and toughness of a Yeti. While they do have many of the same features, there are more notable quality issues with Ozark Trail models. Use of these names, logos, and brands does not imply endorsement. Unfortunately, however, you won’t be getting much choice in terms of color. You also don’t get too many options to customize your cooler with a decal or a custom color or something like that unless you opt for a third-party accessory. As for mobility, you also get a shoulder strap with plenty of padding. You even get an extendable telescoping handle with the 42-can model. Several weeks ago we finally purchased an Ozark Trail 52-Quart High-Performance Cooler from Walmart. I was so excited to get it home and run a test to see if it really holds ice longer than my Coleman 60 Quart Performance Wheeled Cooler. While this isn’t quite as high as we have seen in other premium coolers, the much lower asking price helps to justify it. For most people, being able to keep ice for 3 days or more is plenty. And it makes Ozark Trail Coolers great for any weekend outing. We just completed a review of the Ozark Trail Tumbler line, which is not only budget friendly but also well performing. The weather was in low 90s during the test, the coolers were in full sun for most of the morning, and we opened them several times throughout the day. The ice melted in the Coleman in 39 hours and the Ozark Trail in 73 hours. The water turned warm in both coolers fairly quickly after the ice melted. As soon as we realized the Ozark Trail was not going to work I got online and ordered an RTIC.
