Ozark Trail vs Yeti Hopper Soft Sided Cooler ShowDown and Review

We purchased four bags of ice – two for each cooler – and got started. The Ozark Trail held ice one day longer than the Coleman and in general, the cooler felt cooler inside than the Coleman. Unfortunately, the deal breaker is that it intermittently leaked water from the drain spout. Use of these names, logos, and brands does not imply endorsement. Unfortunately, however, you won’t be getting much choice in terms of color. You also don’t get too many options to customize your cooler with a decal or a custom color or something like that unless you opt for a third-party accessory. As for mobility, you also get a shoulder strap with plenty of padding. You even get an extendable telescoping handle with the 42-can model. We think it’s right up there with Yeti and at just a fraction of the cost. After all, this brand is not a favorite of millions of outdoor enthusiasts all over the world for no reason. Just like most of the other Yeti products in this comparison, this one is also made out of 18/8 stainless steel. In other words, you won’t have to worry about the model’s durability – it will hold up in the wilderness. The construction is also BPA-free and features the so-called no-sweat design that keeps the user’s fingers dry. There’s a tick on that little detail on Ozark’s part because their coolers are, in fact, rotomolded. Ozark Trail decided to pass up the opportunity to create a simple cooler for the medium price range to the lower price range. The only group that isn’t served here is the group of people looking for coolers over 100 quarts in capacity. However, that kind of handle won’t work for the larger coolers, so they utilize side handles made of rope for those ones. They are one of the most expensive soft sided coolers on the market. Melting ice is the last thing you want to worry about when you're out in the woods, on the boat or kicking back at the beach. Protection against the growth of bacterial odors and stains that is guaranteed to last the lifetime of the product. The product also features a wire basket, 4 drink holders, a built-in fish ruler and heavy-duty handles with comfort grip for easy rolling. Yeti Coolers, on the other hand, has a rock-solid reputation. Its ice life is among the best in the industry and its products are designed to last a lifetime. Ozark Trail, despite their best intentions, doesn’t quite live up to the level of ice retention and toughness of a Yeti. While they do have many of the same features, there are more notable quality issues with Ozark Trail models.
The asking prices for the various Ozark Trail Coolers will fluctuate quite a bit depending on which model you are going with. But seeing how Ozark Trail is in the business of making cost-effective products, all models should be affordable (particularly when compared to their industry competition). Currently, you can choose between a 6-can cooler, 12-can cooler, 24-can cooler, 36-can cooler, 42-can cooler, premium backpack cooler, and premium tote cooler. There have also been some other sizes available over the years but we are going to focus on these models. It’s made of heavy-duty polyethylene that is virtually unbreakable. We offer Standard Shipping (3-8 days) and Express shipping (2 days). The Ozark Trail cooler is made from polyethylene, which is the most common kind of plastic in use today. So, I have to say that I was really surprised with how this test turned out. You can see from the images below that there was consistent ice melt, however two of the three were better performing. Fishing is an excellent way to spend an afternoon in the Buffalo National River Park, where trout can be found in the cold waters. Try Ozark Mountain Cabins for a rustic, intimate retreat perfect for a family getaway. There are still storms that will impact the country over this period. A storm moving into the Southwest right now will slowly move out over the coming days. As it spins away in the Southwest, it will sling waves of clouds our way. Another thing you want in a premium cooler is the ability to hold ice for extended periods. Ozark have a freezer-grade gasket that’s pretty much like what you would see in your average high-end cooler. The smaller sized Ozark Trail coolers don't have any handles other than the shoulder strap. Ozark Trail on the other hand are Walmart's white label brand and the internet is littered with reviews of poor quality of their products.
